Roadmap
Updated
What I’m thinking about, and what already shipped.
Considering
- Native AI, instead of generating a prompt to paste elsewhere
- Apple Watch
Builds go out through TestFlight ahead of each App Store release, so this is where you see any of it first.
Shipped
0.3 — meal logging, Plus, and a rebuilt Home
- Log meals in Cal/d itself — description, calories and nutrition across 37 Health nutrient types, written straight to Apple Health
- Eaten tab — any day's food, grouped into breakfast, lunch and dinner from the time you logged it, editable and deletable
- Recents and search — re-log anything from a tap, searching your own past logs first and Open Food Facts after
- Barcode scan, and nutrition-label scan read on-device
- Guesstimate — describe a whole meal and it splits into separate foods, each one priced from your own logs or Open Food Facts, never invented. Needs iOS 26 and Apple Intelligence
- An intro walkthrough on first launch, with Health permissions asked for a piece at a time, where each one is used
- Cal/d Plus — a one-time unlock that lifts the planning limits and keeps the countdown running outside the app
- Home rebuilt into separate cards, with pace dials measured against your limit. Stats and the progress review moved in from their own tabs
- What-if now moves every figure, not just the countdowns, and each one shows what changed
- Stats charts draw your daily limit, colour the days above it, and overlay the period before
- Haptics throughout, and a one-tap log button beside the tab bar
- Russian, Spanish (US) and Italian
- On the Mac: meals logged there sync through iCloud, and the day's numbers match the phone
0.2 — stats, history and countdowns
- Stats tab — daily history chart with range presets, remembered between launches
- History — every tracked day and its totals, with per-day skipping
- Skipped days removed from every calculation, both calories and elapsed time
- AI Prompt tab — generates a progress review you can paste into any assistant
- Medium Home Screen widget with time-left detail
- Surplus goals with live countdowns to each milestone
- Yesterday's pace compared against your limit and your last tracked day
- What-if scenarios in Countdowns — see how adding or burning calories moves the clock
- Deep links from the Eaten and Exercise rows straight into Apple Health
- Shortcut to your preferred calorie tracker from the Countdowns toolbar
0.1 — the first release
- Account for burnt calories (exercise) in the calculation
- Notification at every checkpoint
- Live Activity
